Beger 110 Skim Coat Smooth is suitable for cosmetic repairs of interior and exterior walls and ceilings on surfaces such as reinforced concrete, precast concrete, brick, block works, traditional rendering, etc. When applied properly, it will obtain an excellent bond, prevent cracking, and create a smooth surface. Its Air Entraining Agent provides smooth and easy application, while its Super UV Guard offers weathering and UV resistance. The one-coat application covers a larger area, up to 1-2 mm, helping to hide cracks, hairline cracks, or pinholes.

Direction of Use

Step 1 Surface Preparation

For new concrete, leave it to dry for at least 2 weeks.
The surface plastered by Beger 110 Skim Coat Smooth must be strong, clean, and free from dust, dirt, cement, or grease.
For old concrete with deteriorated or peeling film, apply an old concrete primer to reinforce the adhesion of the surface.
Overplus and seams must be struck off.
The large cracks or holes must be sealed before the primary coat.
The surface must be thoroughly wetted down before applying.

Step 2 Using Skim Coat

Blend 20 kgs. (1 bag) of Beger 110 Skim Coat Smooth into 8.5 - 9.5 liters of water. Use a paddle mixer with a low speed until a smooth workable consistency is achieved.
Plaster with Beger 110 Skim Coat Smooth and leave to dry for 1-2 hours before applying another coat.
Sand the surface with sandpaper for smoothness.
Leave for curing 3-7 days before applying the paint by the suitable painting procedure.

Cautions

The mixture should be used within 40-60 minutes.
Do not use Beger 110 Skim Coat Smooth during strong sunshine or on a hot substrate to prevent cracks.
Do not use the product while raining.
Do not apply one time for high thickness, Beger 110 Skim Coat Smooth must be applied for several layers.
Do not apply to moving cracks or joints.
It cannot plaster cement or apply tile adhesive for tiling over the skim coat layer.
Only for wall or ceiling decoration
Wear protective equipment such as gloves, masks, or goggles while working. For eye contact, it should be well flushed with water and medical attention immediately.
Wash all tools immediately after use with water.
Keep all containers well closed and in a dry cool place.
12 months shelf life in original packing.
